YOGA KINDLY / YOGA WILD ATLANTIC WILD ATLANTIC WAY.
A little note (and a gentle apology) from your slow yoga teacher this week.
The week seems to have run me rather than me running the week, and I'm a little behind in sending booking confirmations. Sometimes life gives us an unexpected reminder that slowing down is exactly what's needed—even when our to-do lists have other ideas!
If you've booked a class and haven't yet heard from me, please don't worry. I'm making my way through messages and will be in touch as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience, kindness, and understanding. Perhaps this is a little invitation for all of us to embrace a slower pace now and then, trusting that everything finds its way in its own time.
Looking forward to sharing some practice, breath, and stillness with you soon.

YOGA KINDLY YOGA WILD ATLANTIC WAY.
Over the next two weeks our practice is a journey along our...
Cervical Spine (C1–C7) – Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)

Thoracic Spine (T1–T12) – Heart Chakra (Anahata)

We'll explore the cervical spine (neck) and thoracic spine (upper back), bringing awareness, mobility, and strength to these important areas of the body.

The cervical spine supports the head and allows us to move, see, speak, and express ourselves.

The thoracic spine supports the rib cage, helping to protect vital organs while allowing the chest to expand and the breath to flow freely.

Our practice will help release tension in the neck, shoulders, and chest, improve posture, support healthy breathing, and create greater ease in movement.

Energetically, we'll connect with the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha), associated with communication and self-expression, and the Heart Chakra (Anahata), linked to compassion, openness, and connection.

Through mindful movement and breath, we'll create space along the spine and cultivate a deeper sense of balance, vitality, and wellbeing.

Remembering Michael ❤️
Michael sadly lost his battle at a young age.
He was a deeply loved husband, brother, father, friend, and an all-round wonderful person who is missed every day.
This fundraiser is being held in his memory, and we’d love for people to come along, donate if they can, and help support such an important cause. Your support would mean the world to the family.
Please share and help us honour Michael’s memory ❤️

“Spiral from the center"
Twisting from the centre of the body creates a strong connection between stability and movement. When rotation begins in the core, the spine stays supported and the movement distributes more evenly through the body instead of putting strain into the lower back or shoulders.
This helps maintain alignment while allowing for greater range of motion. From a spatial perspective, initiating twists from the centre improves coordination and awareness of where the body is in space, making transitions feel more controlled and efficient. Rather than moving in isolated parts, the body works as a whole, with the core guiding direction and the limbs following in a more organised and balanced way.
