Winter Seasonal Surf Therapy Instructor positions!

Join our small, dedicated team focused on improving mental health and making water spots accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Position: Winter Seasonal Surf Therapy Instructor
Availability: We are looking for individuals that are able to work from Nov 2026 - March 2027, Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends is a must.
Location: Merton Aquadome
Hours: 35 hours a week,
although applicants seeking less hours are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead FlowRider sessions, providing instruction and support to participants of all skill levels and abilities.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants at our winter location.
- Ability to work long hours in cold outdoor environments.
- Tailor sessions to meet the individual needs of participants, focusing on their emotional and physical well-being.
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere, celebrating each participant's achievements.
- Collaborate with our team to continually improve our programs and outreach efforts.
- Share your passion for water sports and its benefits.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Desire & Ability to support individuals with an array of abilities and conditions.
- Certification in instruction and/or experience in therapeutic programs is preferred.
- Beach or pool Lifeguard qualification is desired.
- First aid at work and CPR certification is essential
- Safeguarding knowledge and qualifications are essential but can be provided.
- Qualifications in care are preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- A genuine passion for mental health advocacy and a desire to make a difference in people's lives through therapy.
