The Cannenta Foundation is excited to announce that we are now accepting presentation proposals for the 2026 Cannenta Mental Health Conference!
Theme: Cultural Wealth & Collective Strength: Honoring the Power Within Our Communities
This year's conference will explore the assets, wisdom, resilience, traditions, relationships, and lived experiences that empower individuals, families, and communities to heal and thrive. We invite mental health professionals, researchers, educators, advocates, community leaders, students, and individuals with lived experience to submit proposals that celebrate and amplify the strengths that exist within our communities.
We are seeking engaging presentations, workshops, panels, and interactive sessions related to:
✨ Community cultural wealth and resilience
✨ Collective healing and intergenerational strength
✨ Culturally responsive and trauma-informed care
✨ Indigenous, Latino, Black, and other community-centered approaches to wellness
✨ Family, kinship, and community support systems
✨ Faith, spirituality, and cultural traditions in healing
✨ Youth leadership and community empowerment
✨ Mental health advocacy and social justice
✨ Innovative programs that leverage community strengths
✨ Research and best practices that honor cultural knowledge and lived experience
