Every second counts when it comes to a stroke.
October 29 is World Stroke Day, a reminder that recognizing the warning signs and taking immediate action can save lives and reduce the risk of long-term disability.
Knowing the signs of a stroke could make all the difference. Remember to B.E. F.A.S.T.:
🔹 Balance: Sudden loss of balance or coordination
🔹 Eyes: Sudden changes in vision
🔹 Face: Drooping on one side of the face
🔹 Arms: Weakness or numbness in one arm
🔹 Speech: Slurred speech or difficulty speaking
🔹 Time: Call 911 immediately if you notice any of these symptoms.
While quick action is critical, the journey doesn't end after emergency treatment. Stroke survivors often need ongoing assistance as they work to regain strength, mobility and independence.
At Kadan Homecare, our compassionate caregivers provide personalized in-home support to help stroke survivors navigate daily activities, maintain a safe and comfortable environment and continue their recovery journey.
Help us spread awareness by sharing these warning signs with someone you love. Knowing what to look for could save a life.
