The Secret to Sensory Social Routines: Keep the Focus on YOU! 💡✨

When using equipment like swings, spinning chairs, or sensory toys, it’s easy for a child to get completely wrapped up in the object itself. But the real magic of a Sensory Social Routine happens when the interaction becomes the main event!

The goal isn't just to play with an item—it's to weave yourself directly into the fun so the child builds connection, eye contact, and communication with you.

📸 Putting It Into Practice: The Spin & High-Five
Instead of just spinning the chair non-stop, build a structured routine! Pause the spin, create anticipation, and make a high-five or shared eye contact the key that unlocks the next turn. The chair provides the sensory reward, but you are the catalyst! ✋🌀

We are so excited to introduce Olivia, RBT!

Olivia joined us with a strong background in social services and a B.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs! 🐾). Her journey into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) began while working alongside a BCBA to support children in foster care—an experience that sparked a true passion for behavioral health.

We are so lucky to have Olivia’s passion, creativity, and dedication on our team. 💙

We are so excited to highlight one of our incredible Registered Behavior Technicians, Sabrina! 💙

Sabrina earned her B.S. in Psychology from Georgia State University and joined the Peachtree Autism Services team as a RBT this past April. She is currently working hard toward her goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor! 🎓🧠

We love seeing the dedication, heart, and enthusiasm Sabrina brings to the PAS family every single day!

Future Nurse On The Loose! 🚨🩺💙

We’re wishing Devan the absolute best as she heads off to nursing school! 🎓✨

They don’t call her “Dependable Devan” for nothing. From crushing tasks in record speed and helping teammates, to building furniture and prepping crafts, she always stepped up. Most of all, she loved working with our learners and helping them practice their headstands and backflips! 🤸‍♂️🎨

Last week, our 3 teams went head-to-head, and the competition was fierce from start to finish! 💥🔥 Every single team brought their A-game, but here is how the final podium lined up:

Our teams brought the heat—battling it out in a scavenger hunt, wagon relay race, musical performances, and a clinical speed-challenge to list language targets. 🥇👏

Gia has been a Registered Behavior Technician since 2021. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from Bethune-Cookman University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis at Georgia State University to become a BCBA! 🎓👏

Gia is deeply passionate about helping individuals build meaningful skills, gain independence, and reach their full potential. Outside of work, she loves self-expression through the arts! 🎨✨
