POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) = your autonomic nervous system malfunctioning and is controlled by your brainstem and upper cervical spine.

You stand up, heart races, dizziness hits, you might pass out. Your heart rate jumps 30+ beats just from standing.
This isn't anxiety, but autonomic nervous system dysfunction.

How chiropractic supports hormonal NS changes:

Your baby is breech and your OB is talking C-section. Before you schedule surgery, there's something you should try: the Webster Technique. πŸ€°πŸ’™

Breech means that baby is positioned bottom-down or feet-first instead of head-down.

Standard medical approach will recommend two options: External cephalic version (ECV) at 37 weeks (doctor manually tries to flip baby from outside - painful, 50% success, carries serious risks) OR scheduled C-section.

But here's what most doctors don't know: Breech position is often caused by pelvic imbalance.

When you address the pelvis, baby often flips on their own.

Why babies go breech:
Babies position where there's most room. When your pelvis is balanced, widest space is at the top, baby naturally goes head-down.

When your pelvis is out of balance:
Uterus becomes torqued (twisted), ligaments pull unevenly, less room in lower pelvis, baby positions bottom/feet down (where there's more space).

The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of subluxation and/or SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neurobiomechanical function in the sacral/pelvic region is improved.

What to expect:
Initial assessment of pelvic balance
Check sacral position, round ligament tension
Gentle Webster adjustment (lying on pillows)
2-3x per week until pelvis balances and baby is in a better position
Continue adjustments through delivery (keeps pelvis balanced for easier birth)

Your kid is waking up crying with leg pain. Your Pediatrician says "growing pains - they'll grow out of it." But growth doesn't cause pain, imbalance of the nervous system does.

What causes "growing pains"?
During rapid growth spurts, the spine grows faster than surrounding muscles can adapt. Muscles get tight trying to keep up. This tightness pulls the spine and causes compensation patterns.

What happens when spine is balanced:
-Nerves have space to exit without compression
-Leg length is even (pelvic balance)
-Muscle tension is symmetrical
-Pain stops (not because they "grew out of it" - because compression was released)

Your child doesn't have to suffer through growth spurts. Growing can happen without pain when the spine stays balanced and nerves stay clear.

If your kid:
-Wakes up at night with leg pain
-Complains of aching thighs, calves, or behind knees
-Pain is worse at night or after activity
-Between ages 3-12 (common growth spurt ages)
