This premier group of talented artists is a wonderful example of finding joy, purpose, and passion at every age.

🌟 Their energy is contagious, and it was truly a gift to be in their presence. Dancing, smiling, singing along were common themes throughout the performance!

We are so grateful they shared their talents with us and reminded us how music brings people together.

50+ years. That’s a long time to work together to make a difference.

For more than five decades, Martin Luther Campus and Indian Mounds Elementary have shared a special partnership focused on building connections between generations and enriching the lives of both seniors and students.

This year was no exception. We welcomed third graders to campus every month, enjoyed wonderful performances from fifth grade music classes, and even created and flew beautiful kites together. Along the way, there were countless moments of laughter, friendship and learning.

We are honored to be included in Bloomington Public Schools’ School Pages Newsletter this month and grateful for the opportunity to highlight the power of connection. As you will see in the article, these connections inspire a lifetime of community involvement and service.

Our sincere thanks to every student, resident, staff member, educator, and volunteer who has and does make this partnership possible—not only today, but over the past 50+ years.

We had THE BEST time at our annual kite flying day with Indian Mounds Elementary! 🪁💙
A special thank you to all of the amazing fifth grade students, Dave the Kite Man, our incredible staff, and our beautiful residents for making and flying these colorful kites together. Seeing everyone come together made the day so special.
We wrapped up the fun with Dreamsicles because the day truly felt like a dream!
It may have been warm outside, but the memories we made together were perfect. ☀️
We even had the trishaw bike out for a few rides, which brought lots of smiles and laughter throughout the day! What an example of intergenerational fun!

Wow, we’re finally able to embrace the warm weather, and we’re so lucky to have the iconic Bloomington Japanese Garden nearby at Normandale Community College!

This week, some Meadow Woods residents and staff boarded the bus and headed over to enjoy the beautiful scenery, fresh air, and wonderful time together outdoors. Moments like these are what community is all about — staying active, connected, and making memories together. 🌸☀️
