When Rae moved into The Geneva Suites, she was a full assist transfer using a Hoyer lift and had been told she would never bear weight again. Today, she is walking.

This did not happen overnight. It took determination, hard work, the support of our physical therapist, and caregivers who encouraged her to keep practicing every day.

What makes me smile is that this story is about more than walking. It is about independence, confidence, and getting pieces of your life back that you thought were gone forever.

We are incredibly proud of Rae and all she has accomplished. She is a beautiful reminder that sometimes progress starts with simply refusing to give up.

Families often worry that moving into care means losing the moments that make life feel normal. Then something like this happens.

A birthday celebration with his sister by his side, lots of laughter, silly glasses, cake, and the kind of comfort that only comes from being with people who truly know you.
This is what we want our homes to feel like. Warm. Personal. Full of life.
