Focused stimulation doesn’t have to be complicated 💬

Using just 2–3 simple words during play can help build language more effectively than using too many words at once.

✨ Pick a few core words
✨ Repeat them often
✨ Pair them with actions during play

Simple + repetitive language helps children process and use words more confidently.

Water play is a simple way to build language — without turning playtime into a quiz. 💦

Kids often learn best when we model words during what they are already doing.

Try this during your next water play activity:

• Talk about what your child is doing
• Use short phrases like “pour water,” “splash splash,” or “in the cup”
• Keep your words simple — 1 to 3 words is enough
• Repeat important words often
• Model language without asking constant questions
• Let your child hear the words while they play

Instead of asking, “What are you doing?” try saying:

• “Pour water”
• “Big splash!”
• “Cup in”
• “More water”
• “Dump it out”

This is called parallel talk — and it helps children learn language naturally during play.

Speech therapy is not always working on sounds. In this session, we are working on prediction, inferencing, and recognizing complex emotions.

Bubble play is more than just fun — it’s a great way to build communication! 🫧

You do not need flashcards to help your child practice language. Everyday play can create the best opportunities.

Try this during your next bubble activity:

• Pause on purpose before blowing the bubbles
• Say, “Ready… set…” and then wait
• Watch for any response — eye contact, reaching, sounds, gestures, or words
• Accept any communication as meaningful
• Model simple words like “go,” “more bubbles,” or “pop”
• Keep it playful and pressure-free

That little pause gives your child a chance to communicate in their own way.

Small changes during play can lead to big communication moments. 💛
