This engaging daily routine helps boost recall and sharpen focus through simple, targeted activities: three exercises, just 10 minutes each, focusing on reading, writing, and math. We recently enjoyed a captivating educational visit from the Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center MCPC to discover the fascinating life and migration of the Monarch butterfly! Through an engaging multimedia presentation, residents explored the complete life cycle from egg to adult, learned what sets Monarchs apart from other butterflies, and uncovered amazing facts about their incredible annual migration.

It was a wonderful afternoon of learning, curiosity, and dynamic conversation for our community!

We had a great time moving, dancing, and staying active during an energizing fitness session with Rahmael Magny from Move It with Mel Fitness! The class blended simple dance patterns with beloved Motown, Soul, and classic hits to deliver a dose of joy and physical fitness right here in our community. Everyone enjoyed working on their balance and strength before winding down with a calming, Tai Chi-inspired meditative cool-down specifically designed to support fall prevention, coordination, and memory.

Residents truly showcased their artistic abilities during our recent watercolor painting class, where everyone used a beach scene as their creative inspiration. Whether they chose to follow the step-by-step instructions or worked at their own pace using the reference photo as a guide, every single finished painting turned out remarkably beautiful and completely unique to the talented artist who created it.

Our recent Theralink sessions got a fun tropical upgrade with a luau theme! Theralink gives our leadership team and our Powerback partners the opportunity to track quarterly stats on stretching, mobility, endurance, balance, and cognitive brain games, while our newly added cardiovascular exercises keep everyone's blood flowing and spirits high.

World Traveler and Public Speaker Chris McCormack recently visited to share his extensive experiences, having spent over ten years traveling the world to collect unique photos and stories. Residents enjoyed listening to his many accounts and participated in a Q&A session, while also being able to take home a 4x6 photograph and view a display table featuring his travel artifacts.

Residents loved getting to spend their Bingo Bucks at our Pop-Up Bingo Store! They shopped from a variety of fun and useful items, including flashlights, toiletries, household essentials, children's toys, snacks, and more! Whether they shopped for themselves, a grandchild, or just looking for something fun, there was something for everyone. The afternoon was full of retail therapy!
