Kindergarten readiness is about so much more than knowing letters and numbers.

At Coral Care, we know that starting kindergarten is a big transition for both children and parents. While academics are important, some of the biggest skills that help children feel confident at school are things like managing new routines, communicating their needs, building independence, and feeling comfortable trying new things.

Our providers support children in building the skills they use every day—so they can walk into kindergarten feeling more confident and ready to learn.

Every trip to the playground is full of opportunities to learn, grow, and build confidence. 🌞

From climbing and balancing to taking turns, communicating with peers, and trying new challenges, playgrounds offer so many natural opportunities to build developmental skills. When it's appropriate for your child's goals, Coral Care providers can incorporate these real-life environments into sessions—making learning engaging, meaningful, and fun.

Because the best learning often happens outside of a clinic, we meet children where they live, play, and thrive.

Your child's favorite summer activity is doing more than making a mess. 🌱

Digging in dirt or sand helps strengthen the hands, wrists, and shoulders while supporting bilateral coordination, motor planning, and sensory processing. These early motor skills lay the foundation for play, feeding, dressing, and later handwriting.

The best part? Your child is learning through play without even realizing it.

Meet Amanda, one of the amazing SLPs on our team!

Amanda believes the best therapy starts by following a child's lead. Whether it's a whiteboard, reusable stickers, or tiny objects hidden in containers, she uses open-ended activities that spark connection, engagement, and natural communication.

Her advice for new providers? Listen to parents. Taking the time to hear their perspectives helps build stronger partnerships and better outcomes for every child.

Still waiting for your toddler to start talking?

It's one of the most common questions parents ask: Should I wait, or should I seek support?

While every child develops at their own pace, there are a few key communication milestones that can help guide your decision.

If your child isn't babbling by 12 months, using gestures and single words by 15–18 months, or combining two words by age 2, a speech and language evaluation may be beneficial.

At Coral Care, providers like Beth meet families where they are—literally—offering in-home support and guidance to help children build strong communication skills.
