Construction has started on a new parking garage at the Dallas VAMC campus, with Lot 1 closed as of June 7, 2026. Veteran and accessible parking remain in Lot 1 and Lot 1B. Additional parking is available in Liberty and Freedom Parking Garages and overflow areas. Shuttle service runs from all parking areas, including overflow, so walking is unnecessary. Veterans should allow extra time during construction. Thank you for your patience as we improve the campus.

Ashley Esperson, a nurse practitioner in the operating room at the Dallas VA Medical Center, joined the team two months ago. She says her experience has been “great” and attributes her enjoyment to the people she works with. Esperson’s connection to military service is personal; her father served in the Army and is now a Veteran. Reflecting on her appreciation for those who serve, Esperson shared a message for Veterans and active military members: “Thank you for your service. We live in a great country because of all the Veterans and active military members.”

Today's is Dr. Denisse Silva, an Infection Prevention Physician at the Dallas VA.
