Today's is Jose Gongora, an Electronic Mechanic at the Dallas VA.
With 8 years of service under his belt, Jose brings a deeply personal motivation to his role, following his 5-year service in the Marine Corps as a Communications Maintenance Technician. During his time in the Marines, Jose was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2012-2013 in the Kandahar region.

Jose shares a captivating snippet from his journey, "I am slowly starting to work towards competing in strength competitions." Today's is Lesli Narvaez, a Sales Associate for Veteran Canteen Services (VCS) at the Dallas VA.

Lesli's dedication to serving Veterans shines through in all she does. Her role with VCS allows her to make a tangible difference in the lives of Veterans, providing them with the products they need.

Despite being one of the youngest employees on campus, Lesli's creativity shines through in her side business creating nail designs. "I am extremely creative, and this allows me a creative and fun way to make some extra money!" she shares. But it is her family ties that brought her to the VA. "I decided to work at the VA because my sister works here with me!" Lesli explains.

Through her efforts, Lesli honors the service of Veterans, supporting them in a unique way. We are grateful for her steadfast commitment to the VA mission and the Veterans she serves.
