Poor foot posture can contribute to low back pain. Overpronation and flat feet change plantar mechanics, which can alter pelvic alignment, increase lumbar spine acceleration, and change activity in the erector spinae and gluteal muscles. Plantar fasciitis and arch collapse are common contributors.
