Being hard on yourself didn’t come out of nowhere.
It was adaptive.
It helped you succeed, stay in control, and maybe even feel safe.
But now it’s turned into constant pressure you can’t escape.
That’s why “just be kinder to yourself” doesn’t work.
Because this isn’t a mindset issue.
It’s a nervous system pattern.
And those can be changed—with the right kind of support.

Toxic shame isn’t always obvious.

It becomes the voice in your head that feels like truth.

It’s not just self-doubt.
It’s identity-level:

“I am the problem.”

And for a lot of high-functioning women, it’s been there for a long time—
so long that it feels normal.

But it’s not who you are.
It’s something you learned.

And it can be unlearned.
