Thank you to the Loudoun County Public Schools Special Education Advisory Committee for honoring A Place To Be as a community partner last night as part of the Excellence in Supporting Special Education awards ceremony! We want to specifically thank Christina Schmitt, Teresa Crane, and Brian Kirk for making this partnership event happen, and our very own Andres Uribe for designing the gallery exhibit!

And of course, a huge congratulations to our A Place To Be performers, with artistic manager Kyle Boardman, who represented APTB and kicked off the event with a fantastic musical performance!

A Place To Be is proud to present a staged reading of "Odd Ones Out", an original musical written and performed by longtime A Place To Be performers Lily Olson and Allie Stanich! We hope you will join of for the very first performance of this empowering new show.

Odd Ones Out follows two adult women reflecting on their journey with autism, and how the world of theater saved them.

This show is FREE, and will take place in our Mars-Schmidt Theater at our Village At Leesburg location.

Today we would like to share an incredible thank you to 100WomenStrong of Loudoun County, Virginia, for including A Place To Be among the recipients of their 2026 fund!

This year's fund awarded $712,500 to local nonprofits work across 5 focus areas: shelter, health, mental health, hunger, and education. This includes $20,000 towards A Place To Be's mission! We are incredibly grateful for the support of this amazing philanthropic collective!
