Liverpool Physical Therapy

One of the most important things to look for in a physical therapy practice is the ability of the therapist to individualize your plan of care.

We work closely with your health care provider to develop a plan especially for your condition. Our practice takes a "hands-on" approach, as we specialize in manual therapy. We include McKenzie approach for evaluation and treatment of patients with neck or back problems, but we do not limit our treatment to only McKenzie protocol. Our therapists are required to participate in continuing education courses to keep us abreast in the latest research and evidence-based practice to maximize outcomes.

At Liverpool Physical Therapy, you will meet with a therapist for an initial evaluation and will continue care with that therapist throughout your time in therapy. We do not shuffle patients around at LPT!

If you have a difficult or complex case, then it is not uncommon for your therapist to bring in another therapist to get a 2nd opinion to be sure you are receiving the best, most appropriate care possible.

We all aren’t pictured because it was to late in the night…. But we were able to give a proper send off!

Our wonderful PT, Emily, is leaving us for an exciting new adventure — she’s accepted a position working in the Syracuse school district! 🎒✏️

Emily has been such an amazing part of the Liverpool Physical Therapy team, and to say she’ll be missed is an understatement. Her patients will miss her, we’ll miss her, and we’re still deciding whether we actually approved this career move. 😉

But in all seriousness, we couldn’t be happier for her. A whole bunch of kids are about to get an incredible PT who is kind, caring, talented, and pretty darn fun to be around.

Thank you for everything, Emily! We’re so lucky we got to have you on our team — even if we apparently couldn’t keep you forever. 💙😂

We’ll miss you, Em! Go make those kids move, grow, and thrive! 🎉

Let’s meet Emily Sanborn (again)! That’s right, Emily worked here years ago at the front desk. She liked it so much she has now returned-but this time as a DPT!
She earned her DPT from Upstate Medical University and is passionate about helping patients achieve their goals and get back to doing what they love.

Outside the clinic, Emily enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and powerlifting. She also loves spending time with her three Shelties, who always keep life fun and active.

Let’s take a minute to meet Sophie Nielsen!!!
Sophie earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2024. Originally from Michigan, she made the move to Syracuse in 2020 to pursue her passion for physical therapy. Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find her playing volleyball, hiking outdoors, or relaxing at home with her three cats.

Let’s meet Emily Soeder!

Emily received her doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nazareth College and loves helping patients improving their quality of life through personalized care. She has a special passion for working with Parkinson’s patients, pediatrics, and anyone who can share a laugh along the way.

When she is not in clinic, you’ll find her teaching yoga, enjoying walks, and spending time with her husband, baby boy, and their two cats.

If you’re lucky, she’ll show you how she can walk like a woodcock. I said what I said. Don’t believe it? You wouldn’t be the only one- make an appt to see for yourself! 😆

Tracey Fitzgerald, PT
Tracey graduated from Nazareth College in Rochester with a degree in Physical Therapy and has more than 20 years of experience helping patients return to the activities they love. She is experienced in treating a wide variety of conditions and has a special interest in the treatment of vertigo and vestibular disorders.
