More oxygen. More support for the body's natural repair processes. 🫁

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy uses medical grade oxygen at about twice normal pressure, allowing more oxygen to dissolve into the blood plasma and reach tissues throughout the body.

This increased oxygen availability may support important biological processes involved in blood vessel formation, collagen production, immune function, and wound healing.

The science starts with oxygen — and pressure changes how the body can deliver it.

Surgery is step one. Recovery runs on oxygen.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy delivers up to 12x more oxygen than normal breathing, which may support tissue repair after dental, orthopedic or plastic surgery. Ask your provider if it fits your recovery plan. Link in bio.

8 hours of sleep doesn't always mean 8 hours of recovery.

A recent study found improved sleep quality scores following a course of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), an exciting area of research into the connection between oxygen, recovery, and restorative sleep.

In the study, 395 adults completed 60 HBOT sessions, and those who started with the most disrupted sleep saw the biggest improvements.

Because when it comes to feeling rested, quality matters just as much as quantity.

Research is ongoing, and results do not establish that HBOT caused the improvement.

Inflammation can impact everything from how you feel to how you recover. For this MD Hyperbaric patient, hyperbaric oxygen therapy became a valuable part of supporting her body and overall wellness.

By delivering oxygen under increased pressure, HBOT can support the body’s natural healing processes and help regulate inflammatory responses.

Hear her experience firsthand and discover what hyperbaric oxygen therapy could look like as part of your journey.

Why does an injury sometimes seem to take forever to heal?

Swelling can affect circulation in injured tissue, which may limit oxygen delivery to the area. And oxygen plays an important role in the body’s natural repair processes.

HBOT increases oxygen availability under pressure, supporting oxygen delivery to tissues and the body’s healing response.

Curious if HBOT could be part of your recovery plan? Learn more at MD Hyperbaric.

Oxygen under pressure does more than increase oxygen delivery — it can trigger measurable responses at the cellular level. 🧬

In a human study published in the American Journal of Physiology, researchers observed a 2-fold increase in circulating CD34+ cells after a single HBOT exposure and an 8-fold increase over a course of 20 treatments. These stem and progenitor cells play roles in processes such as blood-vessel formation and tissue repair.

HBOT isn’t a stem cell treatment, but research like this is helping us better understand how hyperbaric oxygen can influence the body’s own biological pathways.

Healing isn’t a straight line — and a plateau doesn’t always mean your body has stopped making progress.

Tissue repair happens in three overlapping stages: inflammation clears damaged tissue and protects against infection, proliferation rebuilds it as new blood vessels and collagen form, and remodeling strengthens and reorganizes that tissue — a process that can continue for months after symptoms improve.

That’s why progress can feel invisible even when your body is still hard at work beneath the surface.

HBOT increases oxygen availability to tissues, which can support key biological processes involved in healing for appropriate medical conditions.

Progress takes time. Give your body the support it needs to heal further.

Your pulse oximeter reads 99% — so why would you need more oxygen?

A pulse ox only measures the oxygen carried by hemoglobin in your red blood cells. It doesn't measure the oxygen dissolved in your plasma — a separate pathway that delivers oxygen straight to your tissues.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) works on that second pathway. By breathing 100% oxygen under increased pressure, HBOT significantly increases the amount of oxygen dissolved in plasma — delivering more oxygen to tissues throughout the body, beyond what a normal blood oxygen reading shows.

Pressure is what sets HBOT apart.
