Thursday Therapy Thoughts

For some musculoskeletal conditions, earlier access to physical therapy is associated with lower costs and less use of imaging, injections, and surgery. Early care can provide a safe plan before problems become more limiting. A physical therapist can help guide you. Foot Pain - What you need to know

Physical therapists treat most orthopedic foot and ankle problems, meaning pain that comes from the muscles, tendons, joints, bones, or nerves. Skin and nail conditions, wounds, and infections should go to a podiatrist or your doctor. For almost everything else, physical therapy is a smart, low-cost place to start.

Thursday Therapy Thoughts

For many musculoskeletal conditions, education, progressive exercise, and activity modification can improve pain and function without aggressive treatment. Conservative care is an active treatment path—not simply waiting. A physical therapist can help guide you. Source: Systematic review, The Lancet (Foster et al., 2018).
