Michael will join The Patient Journey panel at the 2nd Annual TransplantLyfe–Temple Health Patient Summit alongside Marybeth Lawrence, BSN, RN, CCTC, Kidney Living Donor Nurse Coordinator at Temple Health.

Together, they’ll share both the patient and provider perspectives on the transplant journey, including timelines, fears, barriers, staying “transplant-ready,” and adjusting to life after transplant.

People from multicultural communities make up a significant portion of those waiting for an organ transplant. But they are not simply statistics. They are parents, children, friends, neighbors and loved ones waiting for more time.

Representation matters. When people see their cultures, experiences and concerns reflected, conversations about organ donation become more meaningful, accessible and trusted.

During National Multiethnic Donor Awareness Month, we encourage everyone to learn more, talk with their families and consider registering as an organ donor.
