So many of us women are drowning in unrealistic expectations from others and for ourselves. We are supposed to be extremely productive, financially ambitious, always available, be a stellar parent and partner and don’t get me started on health….
Once I hit my 40s, I started to see how ridiculous the standards are on women. and let go of so many of these roles and gave myself grace like never before.
Being midlife really is the most empowering stage for women because we stop trying to be perfect for everyone else and we start to love ourselves a little bit better.
I’m no longer interested in doing the most for everyone and everything. I want more simplicity. I want more peace. I want more joy and gratitude. And finally, I’m pursuing that..
In what ways have you got know of a strive for perfection?
