A root canal that appeared stable for 20 years.
No pain. No swelling. No warning from the body.
What we found beneath the surface changed everything.

3D cone beam imaging revealed a major infection that had silently destroyed the surrounding bone and compromised the adjacent tooth. The area had been mistaken for scar tissue on standard 2D imaging for years.

This tooth was removed biologically. The infected tissue, the amalgam plug from a prior procedure, all of it removed using a protocol designed to protect the surrounding bone and support full healing.
The tissue has been sent to pathology. Given this patient's history of heart disease and Lyme disease, we are watching the results closely.

This is what biologic dentistry looks for. This is what 3D imaging finds.
