Forgiveness isn't access.

We are sometimes pressured into believing that forgiveness requires us to become re-accessible to the one that offended us in order for it to be a genuine act. Let's debunk that now. Access is NOT a requirement for forgiveness; it's an option.

So sit and truly assess the situation, set your boundaries, and move forward freely.

When the LORD said, "Vengeance is Mine" - it was said as a reminder that HE carries that weight and responsibility. If that's the case then it also means that we were not built to carry said weight. Which leaves us with one question: What are we supposed to do instead?

Here's a prayer point: Ask the LORD how HE would like for you to begin to unburden yourself from the weight of vengeance? How can you cast your cares upon HIM?

When the LORD said vengeance is mine, it wasn't a threat;
it was HIS way of setting a purposeful boundary that encouraged HIS children to cast their cares upon HIM because HE cares.

When we learn to cast our cares upon the LORD, we learn to cling to HIM instead of ruminating on our experiences and circumstances. Reflection on Colossians 3:2 as a reminder today to set your sights on the LORD.
