Check out what some of our DPT students ( alongside alumni and other health professions students at UNE) did to support the Beach to Beacon race runners last weekend. Way to go everyone!

A dozen students from UNE's doctorate programs in medicine and physical therapy provided aid to injured and exhausted runners at the state's most famous road race, which saw over 6,000 participants from across the country, learning to work as a team along the way.

UNE Physical and Occupational Therapy students teamed up with the Boston Whiplash Volt Hockey Team and Maine Adaptive for an incredible demo day in Finley Gym! 💥

We had the opportunity to learn from some amazing athletes who showcased their skills and love of the game. It definitely looks easier than it is! Special thanks to Shae Woznicki, SPT and the Boston Whiplash who made this hands-on learning experience possible.

UNE PT and OT students have traveled to Norway for an international travel exchange. Today, they participated in a nature walk with discussion stations focused on climate change and its impact on health care, with conversations centered on older adults, refugees and migrants, and individuals with disabilities.
