From the white attire that set the tone to the wine tasting, heartfelt speeches, and video tribute, every detail reflected the warmth, elegance, and community that defines us. A special recognition to our 5-year team members and residents who have been with this community from the beginning - your dedication and trust mean everything to us. We're incredibly proud to celebrate our newest Certified Dementia Practitioners!
Team members from across our communities recently completed their CDP certification through a class led by Dr. Cleo Kitt, our Senior Vice President of Life Enrichment and Leadership Development. This diverse group - representing life enrichment, clinical services, HR, and sales - now brings enhanced knowledge and the latest research to their daily work supporting residents with dementia and their families.
Investing in our team members means investing in the quality of care and connection we provide every single day. At last week’s Life Enrichment Retreat, some of our company’s most creative minds came together to dream, collaborate, and strategize for 2027, all with one goal in mind: continuing to elevate the resident experience.

From mocktail creations and event themes to packets and new ways to bring our communities to life, the team put their heads together to turn big ideas into meaningful experiences. Because at RUI, life enrichment is at the heart of the community experience.

And, of course, no retreat is complete without a little celebration! 🥂 We had the joy of celebrating several team members who recently got engaged or tied the knot.

We’re so proud of this incredible team and the creativity, passion, and collaboration they bring to everything they do. There’s something special about bringing these minds together, and we can’t wait to see the ideas from this retreat come to life! ✨

Eight senior veterans were honored with a return to the skies, taking to the air for a personal 15-minute flight aboard a beautifully restored, open-air WWII-era biplane.

Together, these eight veterans represent more than 100 years of combined service in the U.S. Navy and Air Force, with backgrounds ranging from rescue helicopter pilots and radar operations officers to submarine nuclear engineers and other distinguished roles.

Bringing together five of our Northern Virginia communities at Leesburg Executive Airport, Town of Leesburg, we partnered with Dream Flights to create a meaningful day dedicated to recognizing the service, sacrifice, and stories of these remarkable veterans.

Seeing the smiles on their faces after each flight was a moment we won’t soon forget. It was an incredible reminder of the generations of service represented within our communities and a day we’ll always remember.

A special thank you to Virginia Health Care Association - Virginia Center for Assisted Living and American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living for helping make this unforgettable experience possible. 🇺🇸

Three days of insights, meaningful relationship-building, and collaboration. Our 2026 RUI Leadership Summit brought together our Executive Directors, Clinical Directors, Sales Directors, and Home Office team to share ideas, learn from one another, take time to recharge, and align on the opportunities ahead.
