In honor of World Semicolon Day, we want you to know we see you. We see the battles you've overcome, we see your successes, even when you feel they are insignificant, and we recognize how a pause is just that. We are proud of every moment you choose to continue writing your story because you do matter.

Mainstream Mental Health Services hopes to spread the word on a day like today that you are not alone - we have licensed and licensed-eligible counselors ready to help you achieve your goals to be your best self as defined by you.

At this time, there is no waitlist in the Roanoke area.

We work with ages 5 and up, offer in-person and telehealth appointments, help address a wide range of mental health concerns, as well as work with individuals, couples and families. We accept most major commercial insurance plans, most Medicaid plans, and offer self-pay rates.

Help us celebrate all social workers in honor of Social Work Month!!!

At Mainstream, we value the various roles social workers play in ensuring the lives and wellness of others.

For those who may not know, social workers are educated and trained to help others in a variety of roles whether it be in the forefront or behind the scenes. Social workers can be found in a variety of settings including but not limited to schools, hospitals, mental health agencies, substance abuse treatment programs, crisis management, child welfare, veteran affairs, geriatric care, and leadership. Social workers learn how to care for the individual, looking at their needs and how systems around them may play into their wellbeing. They are proud to advocate for those they serve and foster change when needed.

With all of this being said, THANK YOU to the social workers who are a part of the Mainstream family as well as those in other settings serving our community. We truly appreciate everything you do!!

Sometimes, it can be beneficial to reflect on what went well in a day as nighttime approaches to challenge negative thinking...
