Men are often taught to carry stress silently. This month, we want to remind our community that asking for support is strength, not weakness. Prioritizing mental health creates healthier families, relationships, and communities. June is recognized as PTSD Awareness Month and Men’s Health Month. PTSD in men may present differently. It can surface through irritability, anger, emotional numbness, substance use, overworking, or isolation rather than openly expressed anxiety or fear.

This is an important reminder that mental, emotional, and physical wellness all matter. Prioritizing therapy, rest, movement, connection, and support are part of overall health.

Checking in on yourself and other men in your life can make a meaningful difference.
