Play is a powerful part of childhood. It helps children build friendships, express emotions, gain confidence, and learn about the world around them.

At HopeSparks, our all-inclusive playground provides a welcoming space where children of all abilities can play, explore, and feel a true sense of belonging.

We're honored to offer this community resource for children ages 6 and under because every child deserves a safe place to imagine, discover, and simply enjoy being a kid.

🚧 Exciting Changes Are Coming to HopesCloset! 🚧

Beginning today, HopesCloset will temporarily close as we begin a renovation project designed to create a more accessible, welcoming, and shoppable experience for our clients.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported this project. These renovations were made possible entirely through grants and donations given specifically for this purpose. No gifts designated for our programs or other services were used for the remodel. We are so grateful to the donors and grant partners who helped make these improvements possible.

This renovation is about more than improving a building—it's about creating a welcoming environment where individuals can shop with dignity and access the resources they need.

During this time:
👕 No clothing donations will be accepted
🛍️ No shopping appointments for clothing, shoes, or wearable items will be available
🥫 Food, diapers, and basic needs items will continue to be available
📝 Emergency clothing and essential item requests will be available through our Emergent Basic Needs Form
👕 If you or someone you know needs clothing during our temporary closure, please see the comments for additional local clothing resources.

While we anticipate the project will take approximately four weeks, our reopening date is still to be determined.

We are excited about these improvements and grateful for your patience and support as we create an even better HopesCloset for our community. We can't wait to share the finished space with you!

We had a wonderful time attending the Youth Provider Networking Breakfast and Celebration.

Opportunities like this allow us to connect with fellow organizations, share ideas, and strengthen the relationships that help support youth and families throughout Pierce County.

We know that lasting impact happens when organizations come together with a shared commitment to serving our community. We are grateful to be part of a network of passionate professionals working every day to create opportunities, remove barriers, and help young people thrive.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. We look forward to continuing the conversations and partnerships that help build a stronger community for all.

Today we celebrate the incredible relatives, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and family friends who step up with love, strength, and unwavering support to care for children when they need it most.

Governor Bob Ferguson has officially proclaimed May 20, 2026, as Kinship Caregiver Day in Washington State recognizing the vital role kinship caregivers play in keeping families connected, children supported, and communities strong.

To every kinship caregiver:
🦋 Thank you for opening your hearts and homes.
🦋Thank you for creating stability, safety, and belonging.
🦋Thank you for showing that family is built on love.

Today, we honor YOU. 💛
