Senior Community Outreach Manager Tyler participated in the Washington State Department of Corrections Sequential Intercept Mapping (SIM), held at the DOC headquarters in Tumwater, WA.

The goal of the SIM is to further the delivery of appropriate services to people with healthcare needs transitioning from prison healthcare services to community services, with a focus on behavioral health and effective linkages to care.

This coming Monday, community outreach coordinator Melanie will be representing Ideal Option at Project Homeless Connect, hosted by the Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness!

Project Homeless Connect is a communitywide, one-day event that brings essential services together in one place for Anchorage neighbors experiencing homelessness. Guests can connect with housing resources, healthcare, employment support, legal aid, food, winter gear, identification assistance and more in a welcoming and accessible environment.

Ideal Option was proud to take part in the Deer Ridge Correctional Institution - DRCI Resource Fair. Zach, our Community & Law Enforcement Outreach Manager, represented the organization and shared information about our outpatient medication-assisted treatment services with attendees and partner organizations.

Building strong relationships with correctional and community partners is central to our work in expanding access to care and supporting continuity of treatment after release.

Peer outreach specialist Cassy represented Ideal Option at the 2026 Central AR Resource and Job Fair, hosted by City of Faith! Local businesses, resource providers, and motivated job seekers came out to make connections and strengthen the Little Rock community.

For two years, Russell cycled through five rehab centers. “Every time I left, I was high within a week,” he says.

With a prison sentence looming, the fear and anxiety felt overwhelming. Then a doctor suggested medication-assisted treatment (MAT). “I thought, ‘What have I got to lose?’”

Russell enrolled with Ideal Option and continued treatment until his court date. When he was released two years later, his Suboxone prescription wasn’t ready in time. Our team set up an emergency telehealth visit, and by the end of the visit, his prescription was being filled.

Today, Russell has two years in recovery. “They go above and beyond to make sure you are OK and have what you need.”

Hope, healing, and community were on full display at Recovery Resolana! 🎉

Hosted by UNM Hospital, Katrina and Sara from our community outreach and clinic teams represented Ideal Option at this event, which featured a live DJ, food, games, art therapy, and free health screenings.

Thank you to UNM Hospital for bringing the community together. Treatment works, and recovery is worth celebrating.
