That is a wrap for AW Counseling at the Railroad Building. Three years and two months this location gave me a good start to my business. I am not closing my doors just moving my shingle. I do believe Vest Mill Rd is going to be good to me! Here is to 2025 ending and to a beautiful 2026!

AW Counseling is Moving and joining these lovely ladies at the Vest Mill Office Suites. Starting January 12, 2026 all in person clients will be seen in my new location. New address is 3880 Vest Mill Rd. Winston Salem, NC 27103. I will still be in Suite 200 and in the second floor. Still no elevator and there are about 15 stairs. I won’t have a sign up probably by Jan 12th, but if you see these names you know you are in the right place. This is a positive move!

It is Mental Health Awareness Month. I have mental health bands that have different sayings, buttons, keychains, stickers, pens and little notebooks. If you are a client help yourself when you are here. If you aren’t a client and are a friend/family member of mine that wants something let me know.

I was born in Southern California. Any time I hear of disaster effecting the state it hurts my heart. These fires are awful and my heart cries for all humans and animals impacted. Even though this disaster may not be impacting you directly (or it could) it may be impacting you mentally. If you need help sorting out what you are feeling please reach out for help. You can reach out to me or to any other mental health professional. When seeking out professional help please do not use resources such as BetterHelp, TalkSpace or any other online therapy as you are probably not getting an actual licensed therapist. Go to a real person who actually cares about you. YOU MATTER. My info is in my bio. If I am not a fit for you I can try and find someone who will be.

Not all family members look the same, act the same or love the same. As we come up on the holiday seasons please know it is OK to limit your time with your family if needed. It is also ok if you do NOT spend time with your blood family, but your chosen family. You do what is healthy for you. I know folks are feeling a lot of emotions this week. Not everyone is agreeing with the outcome of Tuesday and you are ok to not feel ok. Please keep in mind where you may feel things are out of control one thing you do have control of is your happiness and what brings you joy. If the outcome of Tuesday has you down please doing something that makes you happy and/or brings you joy. This is my kitten and she brings me lots of happiness!
