Turning Tragedy Into Hope

After her children lost their father to addiction, Shelbie faced an unimaginable tragedy. Rather than allowing that loss to define her children’s future, she chose to help them transform their pain into purpose and compassion for others facing similar struggles.

Together, Natalie and Rhett opened a lemonade stand with a mission: to raise money to help people find freedom from addiction through treatment and recovery. Their efforts raised funds that they recently donated to S2L Recovery.

The generosity didn't stop there.

Wanting to encourage and support the women in our program, Natalie also put together care packages for residents at our women's facility. Through these thoughtful gifts, she reminded the women we serve that they are seen, valued, and loved.

When Shelbie, Natalie, and Rhett visited our campus to deliver their donation and care packages, they brought much more than financial support. They brought hope.

Their story is a beautiful example of choosing light in the midst of darkness. In the face of loss, these children have chosen to honor their father by helping others find healing, restoration, and a second chance at life.

We are deeply grateful for Shelbie’s strength and for the compassionate hearts of Natalie and Rhett. Their generosity already making a difference in the lives of men and women seeking recovery.

Many talk about believing in a "higher power," but the Lord is so much more than that! 🙌
..A higher power can be anything — nature, the universe, or an undefined force.
..The Lord is a personal, loving God who knows you by name, guides you, and desires a relationship with you.
..The Lord isn’t distant or impersonal; He is intimately involved in every part of your life.
..He offers grace, mercy, and salvation—which no generic higher power can provide.

If you want more than an unknown force, seek the Lord who loves you unconditionally and has a plan for your life! ✨
