Do you have hearing loss? 👂

The first signs of hearing loss are often subtle.
You might find yourself thinking:

👉 I generally hear well but I have difficulty hearing in background noise.
👉 My hearing is okay, but everyone mumbles.

After a huge first half of 2026—including undertaking a massive renovation, moving clinics, and dropping back to one audiologist—Tina and Darren are taking a well-deserved break in Hoi An, Vietnam. With weather in the 30's and only one big rain so far, they're exploring, relaxing, and dining away their time. Expect to see Tina return refreshed and sun-kissed 🌞

That's a wrap on Winter Blues festival for another year! 🎉

While Tina was soaking in some sun on the other side of the equator, I was bracing the cold and checking out just how loud the festival gets. As expected... very! I managed to snap a picture of 97dB while enjoying 19twenty from afar, but when I got closer to the stage and speakers, my 100+dB alarms were going haywire.

Without hearing protection, exposure to 100dB is only considered safe for about 15 minutes. After that, the delicate hair cells in the inner ear can begin to sustain irreversible damage.

FUN FACT: 100dB is roughly 32 times more damaging than 85dB (the lower end of the 'danger' zone).

Today marks six years since Tina first opened the doors of Echuca Moama Hearing! Between new staff, new buildings, and a huge renovation, EMH has come so far since that day in 2020. We want to take a moment to say a massive THANK YOU to our amazing community. To Tina, for being a mentor to us all; to our staff, for your hard work through growth and busy seasons; and to our clients, for choosing us and recommending us. We wouldn't have reached this milestone without you!
