Your core does far more than just “abs”. It helps create stability through your spine, pelvis, and hips so your body can transfer force efficiently during lifting, running, sport, and everyday movement 🧐

When your core lacks strength or control, other areas like the lower back and hips are often forced to compensate. Building core stability can improve movement quality, balance, posture, and overall performance.

Here are some of our favourite exercises to help build a stronger, more resilient core:
→ Plate deadbug
→ Plank leg lift
→ Side plank
→ Cycle crunch
→ Core roll up
→ Rotational core reach

SLIPPED DISC? 🤔
Your spine may be stronger than you think 👌🏻

Back pain and MRI findings can sound scary, especially when terms like “bulge”, “herniation” or “slipped disc” get thrown around 😅

But the spine is adaptable, resilient and often much stronger than we think 💪🏻

Research shows many disc changes are common even in people without pain, and many disc herniations can improve naturally over time 📚

This doesn’t mean pain isn’t real, it means imaging is only one part of the picture 🧩

Movement, strength, confidence and the right guidance can all play an important role in recovery 🙌🏻

Unlocking the stiff but not painful shoulder 🙌

With internal rotation in neutral restricted, it can sometimes indicate stiffness through the posterior (back) portion of the shoulder capsule 🤓

This stretch is a great way to target that area, however it should always be pain free.
If this movement causes pain — stop, this one isn’t for you… but it’s likely another is 😄

Everyone’s shoulder is different, so if you’re unsure what’s going on, it’s best to get it assessed by a physio.

Looking to unlock and stabilise your hips? 🙌

Your hips are involved in almost every movement you make. They support walking, running, jumping, bending, and balance. When they’re strong and mobile, movement is efficient and your body is better supported. When they’re weak or stiff, other joints are forced to compensate, most commonly the knees and lower back 🧐

Here are just some exercises that can help to bulletproof your hips:
→ Banded bridge march
→ Banded hip cars
→ Side plank with leg raise
→ Single leg glute bridge
→ 90/90 hip switch

Strong hips = more power, more speed, more control 🙌
