Across the industry, we are noticing a troubling pattern: funeral providers advertising dramatically low prices to attract grieving families - only for those families to face a very different reality once the process is underway.

Instead, they function as little more than a booking service - outsourcing the care of your loved one to third parties, sometimes with little to no oversight over where they are taken or how they are treated. You may believe that you are dealing with a single, accountable provider, when in fact your loved one is being passed through a chain of unknown hands. This is not a conversation about price or competition. It is about transparency, accountability and the basic dignity every person deserves - even after they are gone.
Before making any decisions, we encourage every family to ask these four questions:
Where exactly will my loved one be kept?
Do you operate your own mortuary and facilities?
Who specifically will be providing care - your own staff, or contractors?
Can you provide a complete, itemised price with no hidden costs?
A funeral is not simply a service to be purchased. It is one of the most profound acts of love and respect a family can offer. Every family deserves honesty in their most vulnerable moments - and every loved one deserves to be cared for with respect and dignity.
