What does a dream nursing placement look like?👀

For Amy, it was taking a front-row seat to life in the Pilbara and delivering health care to remote Western Australia, alongside our RFDS WA team in Port Hedland.

Amy was the recipient of a nursing bursary from our partner, Northern Star WA Operations. Designed to help ease the cost of regional placements, the bursary gives nursing students the chance to gain hands-on experience in regional and remote WA.

What began as one of the most frightening moments of their lives has become a powerful story of gratitude, resilience and community.

Congratulations to Erin McPherson and Kym Reilly, founders of Heroes to Hub, on winning the People's Choice Award at the 7NEWS Community Achievement Awards WA.

After experiencing first-hand how crucial the RFDS is for people living in regional Western Australia, Erin and Kym transformed their experience into a fundraising event that now brings the Wheatbelt community together. In just two events, Heroes to Hub has raised more than $265,000 to support the vital work of RFDS.

Community Fundraising Manager, Megan Louth, and Fundraising Coordinator, Kelly Haddrick attended the event to show our gratitude and celebrate the incredible work of the Heroes to Hub crew 💙

Our FIFO dental team travels throughout the Kimberley, Pilbara and Goldfields providing free dental care and oral health education to some of WA's most remote communities.

Their work often goes beyond clinical care. The smiles you see here are also a result of the relationships they've built within the community.
