Hello,

We’re excited to share an update to the FAMO Fascia Movement class timetable! Classes will now be held every Tuesday at 7 pm, and you’re welcome to join us either in person at our inviting Mornington studio or online from the comfort of your home.

This mixed class is open to everyone, regardless of background. Whether you’re a movement teacher, contemporary dancer, martial arts enthusiast, triathlon competitor, Pilates devotee, or simply curious about fascia movement, you’ll find a welcoming community here.

Our sessions are designed to provide a varied movement experience, helping you explore new dimensions of mobility, fascial glide, fascial hydration, vitality and well-being. Last Saturday, I experienced a remarkable performance by One Fell Swoop Circus —a captivating fusion of circus arts and sculpture. The show unfolded on a stunning ‘tensegrity’ structure, which aligns perfectly with my interests. Many of you who have attended my workshops or master classes may recall the tensegrity model I often bring along. During last year’s women’s health and pelvic floor workshop, for example, incorporating the tensegrity model provided valuable insights, especially when discussing myofascial release.

Witnessing the performance, I was deeply impressed by the group’s ability to trust, and connection, seamlessly creating movement and harmony on stage.
If you join any of my upcoming workshops or master classes, you can expect to see the tensegrity model again, supporting a body and mind movement practice designed to foster spaciousness and a profound sense of connection with yourself and others.

🔵I wanted to share an update to clarify where I’ve been teaching since moving to the Peninsula four years ago. Many people remember the studio on Bluff Rd and those memorable days behind the blue door. Although the studio closed six years ago, the journey since then has been remarkable, and so much has happened. Here’s a quick refresher of the services now available and where you can find me.

Create Movement offers a variety of private& group exercise classes suitable for all ages and abilities. Sessions are held in Highett, Hampton, Sandringham, and through home visits across Bayside. Our focus is on contemporary mat-based Pilates, Yoga-inspired Movement, and Fascia Focused Movement Practices. I’m also among the few Melbourne Movement Teachers offering FAMO (Fascia Movement) which use guided exercises targeting the body’s amazing fascial system to enhance structural integration, somatic experience, functionality, and overall wellbeing.

Drawing from a background in clinical and contemporary Pilates, as well as experience in somatic movement concepts, I facilitate retreats and operate The Heart, Joy and Soul Retreat. Additional offerings include Crystal and Energy Healing and Pellowah, Reiki.

If you’re interested in deepening your understanding of the fascial system and adding a new dimension to your practice, our Pilates & FAMO, Fascia Movement Classes are ideal. We provide one-on-one and duet private classes, functional sessions, mobile Pilates, workshops, master classes, and year-round retreats ranging from SOMA VITA (somatic movement and arts and craft) in the Mornington Peninsula to five- and six-night retreats throughout Australia. The most rewarding part of my work is helping others, uplifting spirits, and sharing my knowledge of Pilates, Remedial Pilates, and FAMO to support healing and rehabilitation.

Stay tuned—our events and workshop calendar is getting an update and will be available online over the weekend. There’s plenty to look forward to in June, July, and August, including somatic movement sessions, women’s gatherings, masterclasses, and the highly anticipated return of SOMA VITA 2.
In essence, we’ll be exploring practical tools, tips, and shared experiences designed to help us address symptoms of postural imbalances, chronic pain, anxiety, stress, trauma, and grief. These techniques will illuminate ways to regulate our emotions and nervous system, deepen our connection to the body’s wisdom, mobilize stagnant energy, release deeply held tension, and support the movement of stuck processes.

The masterclass will also feature inspiration drawn from FAMO Fascia Movement and Root Chakra grounding practices, based on courses I have attended, including chi-activation. I am truly excited for what’s ahead. After spending time in nature, swimming, and taking cold dips, I feel I have entered a harmonious space, and from this place, something magical always seems to emerge.

😎☀️This past weekend was both fun and rejuvenating. We braved the chilly waters of the rivers and lakes in Bright and Mount Beauty, with some swimming holes and waterfalls registering a brisk 11 degrees. Despite the cold, we enjoyed playing cards, gathering around the fire, stargazing, and admiring the beautiful Scorpio full moon.🌕⛰️🍁🏊🏻‍♀️

As some of you may have read in my latest newsletter, my vision board features the quote: “Hike yourself happy.” 🥾That sentiment has truly guided me lately. I’ve had the pleasure of hiking and exploring with a wonderful group of women, some of whom I met at last year’s Seasterhood getaway. These gatherings are always filled with laughter, connection, and heartfelt stories. There is something magical about inspiring one another—whether it’s taking a dip, swimming, or jumping off the pier. I’m happy to report that swimming in the lake was easier this year, and the well-earned chocolate croissant at the Swiss bakery afterward was a perfect treat. We also made sure to pick up some zopf during our bakery visit.

❤️A heartfelt thank you to Jane and Nicole for facilitating such an incredible getaway, and to Francine and KJ for capturing the memories with photos. The forest, the open spaces, and the deep connection to nature truly nurture the soul, calm the mind, and open the heart. The friendships formed on these retreats are truly special.

✨Every self-care trip inspires new ideas for my future retreats. The Noosa Spring retreat at Create Movement in November 2026 is already fully booked, with twelve wonderful women joining this year 🙏🏻I’m excited to be planning the 2027 retreat agenda, and I can promise it will provide a nurturing space for heart, soul, body, and mind.
