MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWAREMESS MONTH! ❤️
Are you a woman in your midlife, who feels like a stranger in your own body, trying to function at work and in your personal life, while, for the first time in your life, dealing with cognitive changes including insomnia, disorganization, racing thoughts, memory loss, and brain fog? If so, you are not alone.
During perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause, many women experience emotional, physical, and cognitive changes that can affect their mental health, sleep, confidence, work performance, relationships, and overall quality of life. These changes can feel overwhelming, confusing, and sometimes even frightening — especially when you were able to manage life more effectively, before now.
But there is hope, support, and help available.
In honour of Mental Health Awareness Month, it is important to know that these experiences are common during hormonal transitions, and you do not have to suffer in silence or “just push through it.”
With the right support, tools, strategies, education, and compassionate care, you can learn ways to better manage stress, improve emotional well-being, strengthen coping skills, support cognitive functioning, improve sleep, and regain a sense of balance and confidence during this chapter of life.
You deserve support.
You deserve understanding.
And you deserve to thrive — not just survive — through midlife and menopause!
If you or someone you love is struggling during this season of life, please know that help is available.
