☀️ Our 4th Annual Summer BBQ was one to remember! 🍔🎶
Every year, we have the incredible opportunity to bring together our residents from all 12 Riverstone communities across Ottawa for a day of connection, celebration, great food and, of course, plenty of fun. It’s one of those days we look forward to every year — and this year certainly did not disappoint!
Mother Nature had other plans for us, and with the weather not cooperating, we quickly pivoted from our outdoor park location to an indoor park at our Stirling Park community. And what could have been a setback turned into an amazing day filled with incredible energy, laughter and togetherness!
We kicked things off with a big welcome to each community from our Support Office team and our very own Rudy the Riverstone Bear 🐻 — setting the tone for the day ahead.
🎶 Alex Lopez kept the music going and the energy high, with a dance floor that was electric from start to finish. Residents, team members and friends were all up dancing, singing and having a wonderful time — and yes, even a conga line made its way through the crowd! 💃🕺
Of course, no BBQ would be complete without an incredible feast! Our talented chefs served up a delicious spread of burgers, hot dogs, chicken, corn and all the fixings, followed by an amazing selection of desserts. And our friends at Tim Hortons helped us finish things off with coffee and tea — just what we needed after all that dancing! ☕🍩
A huge thank you as well to our amazing partners, who generously donated wonderful gifts for our giveaways throughout the day. Your support helped make the celebration even more special.
Most importantly, thank you to every resident who joined us and brought their smiles, energy and spirit to the celebration. And to all of our incredible team members who helped plan, organize, serve, dance, support and make sure our residents had a safe, comfortable and memorable day — we couldn’t have done it without you! ❤️
