Osgoode Care Centre

Osgoode Care Centre Not for Profit Long Term Care home Located in a beautiful rural setting on 15 acres, we are home to 99 seniors and have a respite room for short term stay.

Our home is the result of a very dedicated and committed community who saw the need for a local care facility. The vision started in the late 1970's and the doors opened in 1986. We are a charitable not for profit long term care facility governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

🎰♠️ What a lucky afternoon at Osgoode Care Centre! ♣️🎲
Everyone had a wonderful time last week during our "Casino Afternoon" featuring our hilarious “human” slot machine, where residents got to join in on the fun and try their luck in a creative and interactive way.
The room was full of cheers, laughter, and happy faces as everyone enjoyed the games and each other’s company. To top off the afternoon, residents were treated to a delicious cake and brownies decorated like dice for some sweet casino-inspired desserts! 🍰🎲
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a fun and memorable experience for our residents! It sure was a blast and we hope to do this again next year!

Our Mother’s Day drop was a wonderful success!

It was heartwarming to see so many beautiful families come together to celebrate their special mothers, grandmothers and loved ones.

The flowers, smiles and visits filled the rooms with joy, warmth and love.

Thank you to everyone, who joined us and helped to make the day so meaningful and memorable for our residents ❤️.

We’d like to thank Green Corners Farm for the beautiful bouquets of fresh cut tulips . They arrived just in time to make Mother’s Day a little extra special for all the mothers who live at the Osgoode Care Centre.
Green Corners Farm, located at 640 N Russell Road, is now open to go and pick your own tulips and it is also a lovely backdrop for photos this Mother’s Day weekend.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Grade 11 students from St. Mark High School who spent their Community Service Day with us at Osgoode Care Centre yesterday.
Their hard work and enthusiasm made a meaningful difference to our outdoor spaces. From weeding and collecting old leaves, raking grass and refreshing our gardens to planting new saplings in our "Miyawaki Forest" their efforts have helped create a cleaner, more welcoming environment for all our residents, their families, and staff to enjoy.
We truly appreciate their dedication, teamwork, and community spirit. It was a pleasure to have them with us, and we hope to welcome them back again next year!

Celebrating World Hand Hygiene Day at home in the most fun way!!! We played IPAC Jeopardy for prizes, practiced proper handwashing with Glo Germ (so cool to see those germs disappear!), and wrapped it all up with a superhero theme—because fighting germs is our superpower! 🦸‍♂️🦠

TBT - Last week we celebrated "Dutch Week" in our home. Activities included decorating crowns, creating tulip arrangements, learning about the Netherlands through an engaging presentation, baking "Boterkoek" a traditional Dutch butter cake, and hosting a Dutch themed tea party. Residents had the honor to learn from and connect with their Dutch heritage co-residents, making it a truly memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved. In addition, some of our rec. staff sported a Dutch Traditional outfit along with "klompen" wooden clogs for all to enjoy. If you were lucky enough to join in on the festivities with us - THANK YOU! If not, we hope to see you next year!
