Mindfulness Regina is a place to learn the practice of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with an experienced Registered Doctoral Psychologist. Rooted in the work of Thich Nhat Hanh and Jon Kabit -Zinn we learn together in order to support well being and emotional health. Dr. Sojonky works in the areas of marriage and family counselling, depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders and addictions

. He is a published author and has lectured throughout Canada including many years as a sessional professor at the University of Regina. Registered Doctoral Psychologist in private practice at 3018 Doan Drive in Regina, Saskatchewan (306-737-6533).

Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day! For some of you it's not a good day. Moms are not always good and you may have mom wounds. The media makes mothers day large and special in order to make profits. So today don't feel bad if your mom memories are negative. If that's the case then use mothers day as an opportunity to change. To be kind. To be good to yourself and those around you!

And if mom was good to you then celebrate and practice kindness to those in your life. Either way moms are teachers. They offer knowledge as to who we are and who we choose to become. So good or bad I hope mothers day brings you knowledge and love.

My mom took care of our kids when we needed help and made me the best coffee in the world. She has been gone for a while and I do miss her. But whatever mom means to you know that you are a wonderful creation. Very worthy of love!

You are already in reality, whether you see it or not. Reality is what's here, now. Thus you're here now, too. You know all this already, from direct experience. You're not separated from Reality. It's not 'out there' somewhere, but right here.

This provides us with the chance to wake up. You have this chance to wake up right now, in this moment, and in every moment. Thus enlightenment is already yours.

Most of us tend to think---and have been taught---that it's the other way around, that we've got to figure something out. But no. We don't need to figure out our own experience; it's already here, first hand.

You are already enlightened. All you've got to do is stop blocking yourself and get serious about attending to what's going on. You are not lacking a thing. You only need to stop blocking or interpreting your vision. -Steve Hagen

Christmas Challenge! Send blessings!

When someone sneezes we often say 'bless you.' We do it without thinking. This Christmas the challenge is to send blessings verbally, mentally or in writing to at least three people everyday!

It could be the checkout person at the grocery store, your Uber driver, a stranger on the street, a neighbor, relative or friend. You are wishing someone well, hoping for their happiness, good fortune, health and safety.

Remember you can send it by thought. Seeing someone and in your mind sending them a blessing through the 'mental mail'. You can say 'bless you' out loud or you can send a written note. It is a sincere expression of goodwill! Blessings to each of you this Christmas.
