A heartfelt thank you to PROBUS Richmond Hill for welcoming our very own Bethel McMaster!

Bethel discussed supported independence at home and recognizing the early signs of caregiver burnout — conversations that don’t always get the attention they deserve, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to bring them to the forefront.

Aging in place is about more than just staying home — it’s about maintaining independence, dignity, and quality of life. And caregiver burnout? It’s real, it’s common, and knowing how to spot it early can make all the difference — for caregivers and their loved ones alike.

Thank you so much to Angela Newbery from Downsizing Diva for coming to speak with us during Nursing Week! ✨

We really enjoyed your presentation and learned a lot about decluttering and how to approach those conversations with empathy and understanding. It was helpful to hear about the emotional side of letting go of belongings and how important it is to support people through the process without judgment.

We also learned some great practical tips about organizing, downsizing, and creating safer, more manageable spaces for seniors and families. Your passion, kindness, and sense of humor made the session feel comfortable and easy to connect with.

Day 2 of Nursing Week was spent learning and connecting with Glen Campbell from Senior Protection, a leading provider of medical alert systems and personal emergency response services for seniors.

They support safety, independence, and peace of mind through fall detection and 24/7 monitoring. Their professionally staffed monitoring centers provide reliable assistance and rapid response when emergencies arise.

To kick off Nursing Week at INTEGRAcare, we were honoured to welcome special guest Richard Davis, an organizational psychologist and author of the bestselling books Good Judgment and The Intangibles of Leadership 📖

Richard shared insights on leadership, executive decision-making, and the science of human personality. Drawing from the themes of Good Judgment, he explored how understanding personality and human behaviour can lead to better business decisions, stronger leadership, and more effective teams. He also spoke about the qualities that make leaders successful beyond technical skills — including self-awareness, judgment, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.

It was an engaging and thought-provoking session that gave our team valuable perspectives on leadership, communication, and personal growth both inside and outside the workplace.
