🚨Parents and caregivers: Stay informed.

is warning about violent online groups that target and manipulate vulnerable youth through social media, gaming platforms, and messaging apps. These groups use grooming, coercion, and threats to encourage harmful behaviours and isolate victims.

Talk openly with your children about online safety, know the apps they are using, and watch for changes in behaviour. Early awareness can make a difference.

We are 35% of the way there. 💙

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, and community supporters, we have now raised $17,500 toward our $50,000 Men's Shed campaign goal.

We are deeply grateful for every contribution made so far.

A Men's Shed is more than a building. It is a place where men can connect, share skills, build friendships, find purpose, and support one another through life's challenges.

The support we have received tells us our community believes in that vision too.

We still have $32,500 to raise and are actively looking for additional sponsors to help bring the Men's Shed to life.

If your business or organization would like to help create a lasting impact for men's mental health and connection in our community, we would love to hear from you.

One of the most powerful predictors of relationship satisfaction is not grand gestures or expensive date nights.

According to Gottman Method Couples Therapy, it is something much simpler: Turning toward each other.

Every day, partners make “bids” for connection. A comment about their day. A sigh. A joke. A question. A touch on the shoulder.

These moments may seem small, but how we respond matters.

When we consistently turn toward our partner, by showing interest, offering comfort, or simply paying attention, we build trust and emotional connection.

When bids are repeatedly ignored or dismissed, distance can begin to grow.

Healthy relationships are not built by avoiding conflict. They are built through thousands of everyday moments of connection, repair, and understanding.

If your relationship feels stuck in patterns of criticism, defensiveness, conflict, or disconnection, change is possible. Couples counselling can help you better understand each other, strengthen your friendship, and develop tools for navigating challenges together.

Ready to invest in your relationship?

Reach out today to schedule a consultation and learn how Gottman Method Couples Therapy can support you and your partner.

Happy Pride Month! June is a time for celebration and reflection as social workers across Canada honour the strength, joy, and resilience of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Social workers have a responsibility to protect q***r and trans lives and to advocate for inclusive, affirming care. As we celebrate the right to live and love openly, CASW encourages social workers to:

- Learn more about 2SLGBTQIA+ experiences
- Advocate for safety and equitable policies
- Build meaningful relationships with q***r and trans communities
- Commit to providing care that is inclusive, empowering, and affirming

This Pride Month, we want to clearly affirm that we are allies.

For many 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, acceptance is not just about feeling included, it can be life saving.

Research consistently shows that having even one supportive adult, family member, friend, mentor, or professional in your corner is associated with significantly lower rates of depression, self-harm, and su***de among LGBTQ+ youth.

Being an ally does not require having all the answers. It means listening, respecting identities, being committed to learning, creating safe spaces, and reminding people that they do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Connection is a powerful protective factor.

Sometimes knowing that one person believes you, supports you, and accepts you exactly as you are can make a profound difference.

This month and every month, we stand alongside the 2SLGBTQIA+ community with respect, affirmation, and care.

Everyone deserves to be seen.
Everyone deserves to belong.
Everyone deserves support.

Please follow and for more information, further support, and upcoming events.

Many men are taught to be providers, protectors, and problem-solvers.

What often gets left out is permission to struggle and the knowledge that they deserve someone to have their back as well. We all know and love these men.

Depression, anxiety, grief, and burnout do not make someone weak. They make them human. Seeking support is not giving up or giving in, it is taking responsibility for well-being, and men are deserving of that space.

You do not have to carry everything alone. Please follow for further information and support. Please also reach out to the men you love for the serious conversation around how they are doing and how much they mean to you.
