Promoting Breast Cancer Awareness with Mantrac Ethiopia

At Hope Oncology & Surgical Center, we believe that awareness and early detection are essential steps toward better cancer care.

We sincerely thank Mantrac Ethiopia for organizing a meaningful Breast Cancer Awareness program and inviting our physician, Dr. Hiwote Million, to educate employees about breast cancer prevention and early detection.

During the session, Dr. Hiwote highlighted:
🔹 Breast cancer risk factors
🔹 Early warning signs in both women and men
🔹 The importance of early detection
🔹 When to seek medical advice

As part of this initiative, Hope Oncology & Surgical Center was pleased to offer 20 complimentary breast cancer risk assessment and screening sessions to Mantrac employees, encouraging them to prioritize their health and well-being.

We commend Mantrac Ethiopia for its commitment to employee wellness and for making preventive healthcare an important part of workplace health.

We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this initiative. Together, we can raise awareness, encourage early detection, and take meaningful steps toward a healthier community.

በካንሰር ምክንያት የሚመጣን ከፍተኛ ህመም ሙሉ በሙሉ ማስታገስ ይቻላል ብለው ያውቃሉ?በHope Oncology & Surgical Center የካንሰር ህክምና ከበሽታው ህክምና ባለፈ ስቃይን በመቀነስ፣ ህመምን በማስታገስ እና የእያንዳንዱን ታካሚ ክብርና የህይወት ጥራት በመጠበቅ ረገድ ትልቅ ሚና እንደሚጫወት እናምናለን።
በቅርቡ የህክምና ቡድናችን በከፍተኛ ደረጃ የተስፋፋ የፊንጢጣ እና የኮሎን ካንሰር (Metastatic Colon Cancer) ታካሚ የሆነን የ29 ዓመት ወጣት በስኬት ማከም ችሏል። ታካሚው ከፍተኛ መጠን ያለው የሞርፊን እንክብል (80 mg Oral Morphine) እየወሰደ እንኳን ሊታገስ የማይችል የሆድ ህመም ያስቸግረው ነበር።
በማደንዘዣ፣ በፅኑ ህሙማን እና ህመም ማስታገስ ስፔሻሊስት በዶክተር ሲሞን አሰፋ መሪነት ቡድናችን የላቀ የፍሎሮስኮፒ ኢሜጂንግ ቴክኖሎጂን በመጠቀም (Fluoroscopy-Guided Celiac Plexus Neurolysis) የተሰኘ የህመም ማስታገሻ ህክምና አድርጎለታል።
የህክምናው ውጤትም እጅግ አስደናቂ በመሆኑ የታካሚው የህመም መጠን ከነበረበት ከፍተኛ ደረጃ 9/10 ወደ 0–1/10 ዝቅ ማለት ችሏል!
ይህ ስኬታማ ህክምና በከፍተኛ ደረጃ የካንሰር ህመም የሚሰቃዩ ታካሚዎችን ህይወት ለማሻሻል እና ተስፋን ለመስጠት የላቁ የህመም ማስታገሻ ህክምናዎች (Interventional Pain Management) ያላቸውን የጎላ ሚና በግልጽ ያሳያል።
በHope Oncology & Surgical Center በሽታውን ከማከም ባሻገር ታካሚዎች በካንሰር ጉዞአቸው የሚገጥሟቸውን ተደራራቢ ፈተናዎች የሚቀርፍ፣ ርህራሄ የተሞላበት እና ሁሉን አቀፍ የህክምና አገልግሎት ለመስጠት ሁልጊዜም ዝግጁ ነን።

የእርግዝና መከላከያ ዘዴን ሲመርጡ ለጤናዎ ተስማሚ የሆነውን ማወቅ አስፈላጊ ነው።

ምን ማወቅ ይገባል?

🔹 የኮፐር አይ.ዩ.ዲ (Copper IUD): ሆርሞን የሌለውና ለረጅም ጊዜ የሚከላከል ዘዴ ነው።

🔹 ኮንዶም: ከእርግዝና በተጨማሪ ከብዙ የግብረ ሥጋ ግንኙነት የሚተላለፉ በሽታዎች ይከላከላል።

የሆርሞን መከላከያዎችን እንደ እንክብል፣ መርፌ፣ ኢምፕላንት ወይም የሆርሞን አይ.ዩ.ዲ ከመጠቀምዎ በፊት የካንሰር ስፔሻሊስትዎን ያማክሩ። በተለይም አሁን የጡት ካንሰር ሕክምና እየተከታተሉ ከሆነ የሆርሞን መከላከያዎች በሀኪሞ ግምገማ መመረጥ አለባቸው።

ያስታውሱ፦ ለእያንዳንዱ ሰው የሚስማማው ዘዴ እንደ የካንሰሩ ዓይነት፣ የሕክምና ሁኔታና የግል ጤና ታሪክ ይለያያል። ከመምረጥዎ በፊት ባለሙያን ያማክሩ።

In Loving Memory of Mr. Wondimu Bekele

Hope Oncology & Surgical Center extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Wondimu Bekele, founder of the Mathios Wondu Foundation.

Mr. Wondimu made a profound and lasting impact on cancer care in Ethiopia, particularly through his tireless commitment to children affected by cancer. Through the Mathios Wondu Foundation, he helped raise awareness, support families, and advocate for better care and hope for children living with cancer.

His compassion, courage, and dedication have left a meaningful legacy that will continue to touch the lives of patients, families, healthcare professionals, and communities for years to come.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues, and the entire Mathios Wondu Foundation community.
