Today is , so we spent the day reflecting on what dignity means and why it matters🫶🏼✨

We hosted our Digni-tea & Coffee Morning, inviting residents to share their thoughts on dignity. The question sparked some wonderful conversations about kindness, compassion, respect and treating others as we would like to be treated 🥰

Marie summed it up beautifully:

“Dignity means a lot. It’s about showing people kindness, compassion and respect. Treating people how you would like to be treated.”

A lovely reminder that dignity is about the way we treat one another every day ☕️💜

Yesterday, we gifted our Operations Manager, Kean, a few goodies ahead of his big house move this weekend! 🏡✨

A hamper packed with treats to keep him fuelled throughout the move, along with a beautiful bunch of fresh flowers to brighten up his new home. 💐

A Trip to the Coffee Shop ☕️

Last week, Beryl and Sheila made the most of the lovely weather and enjoyed a relaxing stroll down to the local coffee shop, The Coffee House

They both enjoyed a delicious sweet treat, along with a hot drink of their choice. It was a lovely opportunity to sit back, enjoy a chat and make the most of the morning 🍰☕️

Afterwards, Sheila fancied a look around the local charity shop to see what bargains they had on offer 🤩💜

🎉 A Decade of Four Oaks Care Home! 🎉

Today marks a very special milestone as we celebrate 10 wonderful years of Four Oaks Care Home! It’s hard to believe that a whole decade has passed since Four Oaks, part of the Kingsley Healthcare Group, opened its doors and welcomed its very first residents. 🤩

When Four Oaks opened in 2016, it was Kingsley Healthcare’s flagship home — a brand-new, purpose-built care home offering residential and nursing care for up to 62 residents in a beautiful and luxurious setting.

Ten years on, Four Oaks continues to be recognised for its high standards of care, service and environment. But what truly makes Four Oaks special is the incredible people behind it — a team whose care, dedication and commitment make the home what it is today 🥰

A very special congratulations goes to Nicola and Jade, who are two very special members of the Four Oaks family. They both joined the team before the home even opened, working tirelessly behind the scenes to help prepare the home to warmly welcome its very first residents 🌟

Jade joined Four Oaks on 5th July 2016 as a Carer, while Nicola joined shortly afterwards as a Domestic assistant, later progressing to become Head Housekeeper.

To celebrate their incredible long-standing service, both Jade and Nicola were presented with a Long-Standing Service Award, along with a gift voucher and a beautiful plant 🌿🏆

Speaking at the celebrations, Pauline Parker-Moore, Regional Operations Director, said:

“I am delighted to mark the 10th Anniversary of Four Oaks, which has gained a great reputation since it opened within both the local community and with professionals alike. Having a great team is always testament to the success of any organisation and I believe Four Oaks have dedicated, hard-working and committed staff. It gives me great pleasure to say a special thank you to Jade and Nicola, who have both given over 10 years of dedicated service to the home.”

☀️ Summer Fayre at Four Oaks ☀️

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Fayre on Saturday! 💛

Although the turnout wasn’t quite as good as we’d hoped, everyone who came along helped make it a lovely day, and we’re delighted to have still raised an amazing £248 towards our Residents’ Fund. 🎉

A very special thank you also goes to all of our fantastic stallholders. The time, care and craftsmanship that went into so many of the beautiful products on offer was truly outstanding. 🛍️✨

Thank you to everyone who supported the event in any way - your continued support means so much to us!

Disco time! 🪩✨

What an amazing afternoon we had at our Dementia Disco yesterday! A huge thank you to the wonderful Kate and Margaret, who brought the music, fun, and fantastic props, getting everyone involved and smiling.

You’re never too old to catch disco fever! 💃🕺

There was laughter, singing, and plenty of dancing. Frank spent the whole afternoon smiling from ear to ear, and Marie was full of compliments about the brilliant music choices.

What a fantastic day filled with joy, memories, and lots of fun! 💜

Friendship is all about spending time together, sharing conversations, and creating happy memories 🥰🤝🏼

To celebrate , we were delighted to visit our sister home,Timperley Nursing Home, for a lovely social tea in their garden🌸

It was wonderful to see familiar faces, with some residents recognising friends from previous trips while enjoying tea, coffee, delicious cupcakes, and plenty of conversation in the beautiful sunshine ☀️

We took some handmade friendship cards and little gift bags filled with sweet treats, which were greatly appreciated by residents at Timperley.

We also had fun taking part in an interactive activity, learning a little more about one another by sharing our favourite colour, animal, holiday destination, and where we come from. We then used everyone's answers to create a colourful rainbow craft, celebrating the friendships we continue to build 🌈

A lovely afternoon spent together, and we look forward to welcoming our friends again soon💜
