So today this happened!
Myself and my daughter took on the Cancer research race for life Pretty Muddy 5k.
The route was slightly longer than 5k I must add and the majority of it was up hill on rough terrain which I hadn't trained on.
Was it tough? Absolutely, took real determination, mental strength and pure grit but we had so much fun along the way. We didn't get pics of the muddy parts because there really was so much mud/muddy water it was crazy.
You can't really see on the pics but we we're dripping wet through by the end of it. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored so far. With online and off line donations we are standing at a total of £270 for Cancer research which is amazing so thank you. A couple of days rest now for me then back to work on Tuesday. See you there. As some of you know on 4th July I will be taking part in the Cancer Research Pretty Muddy challenge with my daughter.. Having not run since I was a teen I've been doing couch to 5k training plan to help me prepare. I have just 2 weeks left until I complete the training and it's all going really well now. We had a lovely afternoon at the 1st Housing21 Staff awards. It was nice to get our glad rags on, have a change of scenery for the day and celebrate all the great work we do.

Our residents were invited to take part in an exciting project called Salford Everywhere for Salford's 100th anniversary of getting City status.
It's an ambitious public artwork project that will paint a video portrait of Salfordians from across the city and project them as giants moving across buildings in the city.
Today I had the pleasure of taking 10 residents across to the filming day at Buile Hill banqueting suite and we had an absolute blast. Everyone stepped totally out of their comfort zones and got fully involved, we had such a laugh. Now we're all excited to seeing the final video.
