Before we said goodbye to the beautiful weather we soaked up the sunshine and watched the world go by at one of our favourite places, Trent Lock. Don’t underestimate the power of good company, good conversation & fresh air. 🙌☀️⚓️

Our amazing Resident Ambassador for McMorrow House went above and beyond when preparing to welcome a new service user into the home. Not only did she ensure she had a copy of important documents, she put together a welcome hamper and decorated her new bedroom with balloons. Our resident ambassador is truly a credit to the home and we value her insight incredibly. 💙💪🏼👑🎈

Occasionally, the stars align and the management team are able to join the wonderful staff & service users for a day out! We enjoyed basking in the sunshine last week at Beeston Marina and waving at all the passing boats. Ice cold drinks & games of pool were just what we needed. 🚤☀️🕶️🎱

Some of our fabulous service users joined a staff member to go to the Nottingham Carnival over the weekend. They had a fantastic time watching the circus acts and listening to the live music. They enjoyed a spot of lunch before heading home on the tram. 🤹🎶🎸

It’s not just the service users at Hegarty Care that learn new skills. Over the last few weeks, one of our lovely staff members in Hegarty House has been building on his cooking skills. Today he made the evening meal from scratch for service users & staff and my gosh he did a great job! He’s a bit of a whirlwind in the kitchen though so we’ve nicknamed him ‘Chef Chaos’. 😂👨‍🍳💪🏼🌪️

We’re not going to lie… none of us had any interest in venturing out in the pouring rain and ridiculous hail storms! So we opted for a pyjama day instead. Fluffy blankets, low lighting & lots of movies was the perfect way to spend the day. Let’s hope it stops raining soon otherwise we’ll be trading the car in for a canoe! 🛶 ☔️⛈️
