Our Residents were invited to attend a Safeguarding Information Morning this week. It was delivered by Kevin from Grace Healthcare Ireland - Terenure Nursing Home is one of their 10 homes.

Kevin explained to the Residents of their rights and reminded that their voice is the most important voice in their care.

The session provided an opportunity for open discussion, reassurance, and engagement around safeguarding and resident wellbeing.

We would like to thank Kevin for delivering such an informative and meaningful session with our residents.

A Wonderful Afternoon of Music at Terenure Nursing Home

There was plenty of singing, clapping and smiling this week as Mikey the Music Man paid a visit to entertain our residents with his fantastic acoustic tunes.

Gerty, Alan, Liam and Michael thoroughly enjoyed the performance, while Ida and Ann Nolan couldn't resist singing along and clapping to some of their favourite songs.

Eilish and Liz were completely captivated by the music, enjoying every note. At the same time, Rose and Francis added their own voices to Mikey's, creating a wonderful sing-along atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Music has a special way of bringing people together, sparking memories and lifting spirits, and Mikey certainly did just that. Thank you, Mikey, for another fantastic afternoon of entertainment and fun. 🎵

Another Busy Week Ahead at Terenure Nursing Home 🌞

At Terenure Nursing Home, we believe every day should bring opportunities for fun, friendship, creativity and wellbeing. This week's activities programme is packed with something for everyone, from music and quizzes to gardening, arts and crafts, dog therapy, bingo, board games and much more.

Residents can also look forward to special treats including an ice cream party, strawberries and cream, walking and talks in the garden, karaoke, movie afternoons and plenty of opportunities to socialise with friends.

Our activities are designed to support physical, mental and emotional well-being while creating joyful moments and lasting memories. We love seeing residents choose activities they enjoy and make the most of each day in our warm and welcoming community. Terenure Nursing Home places a strong emphasis on providing stimulating activities that help residents stay engaged and connected.

This week at Terenure Nursing Home, our residents enjoyed a lovely pamper day, featuring indulgent manicures and a relaxing hand and cuticle treatment. 💅✨

It was a wonderful opportunity for some well-deserved self-care, relaxation, and a bit of indulgence.

Pictured are our residents Ann, Ida, Rose, and Liz, alongside our Activities Coordinator Grace, who helped make the day so special.

Enjoying the Sunshine at Terenure Nursing Home 🌞

Our residents made the most of the beautiful Bank Holiday weekend by enjoying lunch al fresco in the garden and soaking up some much-needed Vitamin D. There was plenty of laughter, conversation, and fresh air as everyone relaxed outdoors and enjoyed the wonderful summer weather.

Liam, Alex, Rose, Ann, Liz, Ann, Elish and Edie all enjoyed spending time outside together, while Eithne, Maureen and Ann were delighted to make the most of the sunshine and the lovely surroundings.

At Terenure Nursing Home, we love seeing our residents enjoying the outdoors, socialising with friends, and making wonderful memories during the brighter days of the year. ☀️🌿

With the lovely hot weather over the past week, it has been important to ensure our Terenure Nursing Home Residents stayed cool, comfortable, and refreshed while enjoying the sunshine. ☀️

One of our favourite ways to keep everyone cool was with some delicious sweet treats, including ice cream cones and strawberries & cream / Ice Cream. 🍓🍦

On Sunday last, the Terenure College Community Choir performed for our Terenure Nursing Home Residents, giving everyone a truly wonderful afternoon filled with music, joy, and community spirit.

What a wonderful afternoon of music, laughter, and singing here at Terenure Nursing Home 💚

Our residents absolutely loved the Friday sing-along with the fantastic Brian Swords, who had everyone singing, clapping, and enjoying the great atmosphere together.

A special mention goes to Rose, who delighted everyone with a wonderful solo performance of Tom Jones — there was great applause and plenty of smiles all around ⭐

Enjoying the “Hoolie” were:
Mary, Gertie, Rose, Rosanna, Ann, Liz, Alex, Una, Ann, Catherine, and Eithne.

Moments like these bring so much joy, friendship, and happy memories to our home.

🎨 Creativity was flowing this morning at our Art Activity session here at Terenure Nursing Home with guest artist Tracey, guiding our creative Residents in their work.

Everyone enjoyed a relaxing and colourful morning of painting while listening to the rain outside. ☔🖌️

👩‍🎨 Ann Flanagan and Mary embraced the cosy rainy weather with some morning painting.
🥰 Rose proudly posed for her glamour shot, showing off her beautiful stained-glass painting.
🥰 Liz and Ann enjoyed getting creative alongside Tracey.

Activities like art not only encourage creativity and self-expression, but also bring joy, relaxation, and plenty of smiles to our Residents each day. 💕 And the finished artwork is hung in our home for all to admire and enjoy.
