A Wonderful Summer BBQ at Terenure Nursing Home.
What a fantastic day we had at our summer BBQ! The sunshine was shining, the burgers were sizzling and, most importantly, our residents were surrounded by their families, friends and the wonderful Terenure team.
First up, a huge shout-out to Jose, who was our superstar on the grill! The BBQ simply couldn’t have happened without him working hard over the hot coals.
Liam enjoyed the sunshine and fun alongside his friend and wife, while Kathleen and Francis had a wonderful time with Kathleen’s family. We also loved seeing Ann Flanagan enjoying the day with her son and daughter-in-law, and Carmel relaxing in the sunshine with her daughter.
There was plenty of family time throughout the day, with Una and her family enjoying the delicious burgers and salads prepared in-house by our kitchen team.
Our DON, Peter, also spent some lovely time with Ann Connolly and her family — with plenty of laughs along the way!
A special mention must also go to two of our wonderful nurses, who worked incredibly hard in the summer heat to make sure our residents stayed comfortable, refreshed and well looked after throughout the day
And, of course, a massive thank you to our amazing staff. From the kitchen to the care team, activities and everyone behind the scenes, so much work went into making sure the day went off without a hitch.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you from our two Activity Coordinators, Ulrich and Grace.
We are incredibly grateful to all the families and friends who came along, to every member of staff who helped make the day such a success, and most of all to our wonderful residents — because making days like this special for you is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.
