🌸🌿 Nursing Homes Ireland Week – Life in Full Bloom at Maryfield Nursing Home 🌿🌸
This Nursing Homes Ireland Week, we are embracing the wonderful theme of connecting with nature and celebrating the beauty that surrounds us here at Maryfield Nursing Home. 💚
🌿 Monday – Connecting with our gardens
We began our week with a gentle walk around our beautiful gardens, taking time to admire all the wonderful spaces lovingly cared for by our residents and their families. We enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee together while stopping to listen to the beautiful sounds of nature. ☕🌺🐦
🦢 Tuesday – A nature walk
We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such beautiful nature. Our garden at the back overlooks the weir, where we can enjoy watching swans, herons, ducks and even the cheeky squirrels going about their day. We also enjoyed a photography session and have our wonderful photographs displayed in our home.🦢🦆🐿️
💐 Wednesday – Flower arranging
Today, we look forward to bringing nature indoors with some lovely in-house flower arranging activities. A little creativity, colour and plenty of blooms! 🌷🌼
📖 Thursday – Poetry & a picnic by the weir
We will enjoy some poetry and a relaxing picnic beside the weir, taking in the peaceful surroundings and enjoying each other’s company. 🧺🌿📚
🌺 Friday – Flower Power Day!
We’ll finish our week by embracing all the beautiful plants and flowers around Maryfield and celebrating the colour, life and joy that nature brings to our home. 🌸🌱💕
It has been a beautiful reminder that connecting with nature can bring so much joy, calm, conversation and togetherness.
