Building the foundation for better mental healthcare.

What happens when frontline health workers are equipped with the right knowledge and skills?
Real progress.

As part of the five-day mhGAP Module 2B Training in Hetauda, 9 paramedics from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City began strengthening their skills to recognize, assess, manage, and refer people experiencing mental health, neurological, and substance use conditions.

Across Days 1-3, participants explored:
• Depression and su***de risk
• Anxiety
• Epilepsy
• Psychosis
• Psychiatric history-taking and Mental Status Examination (MSE)

Through case discussions, role-plays, interactive learning, and practical exercises, the training focused on turning knowledge into skills that can be applied in real-world settings.

This was only the beginning.

Yoga is more than a pose.

It is a practice that brings together movement, breath, awareness, and stillness, helping create greater balance between the mind, body, and inner self.

Yoga can support mental wellbeing by helping calm the mind, manage stress, bring greater clarity, support emotional balance, and help us feel more grounded, present, and energized.

Mankaa Kura is currently offering yoga sessions for our existing clients:
Sunday–Friday
8:00 AM (40 minutes session)
Free for the next 2 months

You can join on any available day that works for you, or join every day if you would like.

If you’re interested in trying a session, DM us and we can help you with the booking.

Sometimes, we forget that what we see online can stay with us long after we scroll away.

For someone already struggling, repeated exposure to su***de-related content can shape thoughts, feelings, and even the way they understand their own pain. This is one reason we need to be mindful of how we talk about su***de online, not because these conversations shouldn't happen, but because how we have them matters.

Su***de is complex, and there is never one single reason why someone reaches that point. But our words, stories, and the content we choose to share can have an impact.

Let’s create spaces where people feel safe enough to talk about their pain, without making that pain something to consume.
Sometimes, being mindful of what we share is also a way of caring for someone we may never know.

Fear, anxiety, anger, and shame can activate your nervous system, leaving you feeling tense, restless, heavy, or simply “off.” Sometimes, your body holds onto what your mind hasn’t had the chance to process.

Swipe through to explore where stress may be showing up in your body and try 4 simple somatic practices to help you reconnect, regulate, and release.

Try one right now.
Then pause and notice: How does your body feel afterward?

Have you ever wondered why the pain of losing someone can return, even years later?

Grief doesn't follow a straight path or a fixed timeline. A memory, a familiar place, a song, or even a certain date can bring emotions back unexpectedly. This doesn't mean you're "starting over" or that you've failed to heal. It simply reflects the significance of the bond you shared.

Healing often involves learning to carry both love and loss at the same time. Some days may feel lighter, while others may feel heavier, and both experiences are valid.

Be patient with yourself. Your healing journey doesn't need to look like anyone else's.

Some friendships aren't just fun, they're regulating.

The friend who lowers your heart rate just by walking into the room, who makes hard days feel survivable, that's not a coincidence, it's psychology. Strong social bonds are linked to lower cortisol and better stress resilience, while chronic loneliness does the opposite, raising stress hormones and inflammation.

As adults, friendships take real effort to maintain, which is exactly why the ones that last mean more. This International Friendship Day, we're celebrating the friends who quietly keep us steady, the ones who make silence comfortable and hard days lighter just by being there. Tag yours.

Some thoughts remain unspoken. Some feelings stay unresolved. And sometimes, carrying them silently becomes heavier than we realize.

Through K Cha Sathi: Release and Reflect, conducted in collaboration with the Leo Club of Kantipur Kathmandu, we created a space to pause, reflect, and gently acknowledge the thoughts and emotions we often keep within ourselves.

Because healing doesn't always begin with answers, it can begin with simply giving ourselves permission to feel, express, and let go. 💙

Panic attacks can feel overwhelming, but they are not permanent.
Learning to recognize the signs and using grounding and breathing techniques can help you regain a sense of control. And if they become frequent or start affecting your daily life, reaching out for professional support is a sign of strength.
