Located in Des Moines, Iowa, residents at Valley View Village are truly part of one big family. For almost 60 years, Valley View Village has been the senior adult community of choice for many families, generation after generation. Home to over 200 residents, we pride ourselves on our commitment to providing only the highest quality of care in a Christian environment. As a continuum of care campus, we offer independent living, assisted living, long term care, and skilled nursing care including speech, physical and occupational therapies. We support the physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs of each resident, allowing our staff to care for each resident at their stage of life—wherever that may be.

Busy day at Valley View Village! We also had a trip to see the Iowa Cubs today!! The weather improved and the residents had a GREAT time!!

Today we celebrated a Teddy Bear Picnic Party!! So much fun!! We sang the Teddy Bear Picnic song, shared our bears and their special stories (one resident's Bear is over 70 years old and immigrated to America with her!!!) We ate teddy Bear themed treats and played a game..."Name how many items you can think of to take with you on a Picnic". Dawn dressed up as a Teddy Bear and drew a big crowd. Yes, she was hot after we ended the party doing "The Chicken Dance" but it was so worth seeing all the smiles and moments of joy!

THANK YOU to everyone who donated school supplies for our employee's children!! We were able to help 65 kids!! May they all have a wonderful school year!!

2026 Valley View Village Car & Motorcycle Show...Hot July Day...Ice Cream in the Chapel cooled us all down. We had over 30 cars/motorcycles show up!! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this a GREAT Event!! Special thanks to the Activity Staff for helping get all the residents out to see the cars and back inside for the ice cream! We hope to make this an annual event. Next year...in September 😃

Valley View Village is this year's recipient of Hy-Vee's annual Rose Sale. Every year during Hy-Vee's sale, they donate 1 rose for every bunch they sell. Today, Valley View Village is coming up roses, and everyone is enjoying all 426 that were donated!
