Treatment ending is one milestone.
Recovery is another.
And judging by the comments on a previous reel, this is the part so many people feel completely unprepared for.
You finish chemo, radiation, surgery, immunotherapy… and then suddenly you’re expected to know how to manage:
fatigue
body changes
loss of strength
fear
side effects
food confusion
emotional exhaustion
and the question of “Who am I now?”
One person said:
“You are left out in the dark at the end of treatment.”
Another said:
“The hardest part is after the treatments have ended.”
Another:
“Who am I?”
This is exactly why I believe recovery needs more than time.
Time matters. But time alone is not a recovery plan.
There are things we can actively work on to support energy, rebuild strength, nourish your body, manage treatment after-effects, and help you start feeling more like yourself again.
